As evidenced by the comic book stylings, this isn't a film to be taken too seriously. I enjoyed it, and while it won't win any awards, it isn't as lame as the other reviewers on this page would have you believe.
Inconsistent, disjunct writing paired with forgettable performances by the actors. Another unnecessary iteration of Lord of the Flies, that doesn't build on or add much to the topic other than making the main protagonists a lesbian couple, which helped save the bland story at least a little bit.
I did like the soundtrack and the comic-board transitions, wish I wouldn't have watched the rest of it though.
Looking at the writing credits I am slightly less surprised of what happened here... I'm really curious as to who this is going to be marketed at because a post-apocalyptic young adult setup that is pretty much Jocks vs. the Others but also includes quite graphic violence at times seems odd. While it offers some basic entertainment value I found the world building to be very lackluster and it gladly neglected certain aspects of it's story like Jeremy getting the black spots and apparently having some ?working? medication and Caine and co. ignoring what just happend to her brother leaving me wondering if this got cut short.

There were many plot points that were set up but never explained farther. This made the plot disjointed even though it had some potential if things got explained farter. Overall just a mediocre watch.
