Romantic movies aren't my thing but this quirky offering is actually quite delighful.
a beautiful, funny and creative love story. adding it to a list of my favorites already.
[Disney+] Romcom that turns out to be more charming than it may at first seem, as the characters develop and their environments are built. In the end, this day in London of revelations, meetings and vindication of traditional businesses in the progressively more gentrified neighborhoods, works thanks to a style that seems so uncomfortable with the category of romantic comedy that it tries to distort it with anamorphic cameras and fisheye wide shots. The result is so original that the weaknesses of the script are forgiven.

A stylistically bold romcom that is occasionally irksome, but mostly funny and twee.
Besides that, it didn’t do much for me.
The story beats are predictable, the scene concepts are fine but nothing crazy special, the soundtrack has a few bops on it (literally), the characters are indie movie clichés; it’s mostly adequate but nothing that will stick with me for a longer period of time.
I also don’t like how it couldn’t seem to decide if it wanted to take place in this heightened, animated reality (wide, weird lenses; people acting like Wes Anderson characters) or not (other parts of the movie are presented like a regular movie).

There aren’t many perfect movies - this is one of them. An absolutely wonderful love story told with genuine humour and magic.
My biggest takeaway is…… damn I loved the sets and cinematography! The story is cute and feel good. It’s a solid time watching these two spend the small amount of time they do together. This is a movie I wouldn’t be opposed to rewatching again!
I dont know what it is about this. Some parts made me physically jitter, and some made me giggle and smirk.
A british rom-com with some eye-catching cameos. All in all, I was left slightly more than satisfied.

this is a cheesy romcom but without all the cringy bits, so it just leaves you smiling so hard at yourself. the music in here was absolutely wonderful and just added so much more to the storytelling. i loved the parallels with the beginning and ending, as well as the coloring of this movie!
such a creative take on this genre in terms of cinematics in general, 10/10 for that
the leads' chemistry is INCREDIBLE as well aah!! has you rooting for them from start to finish.
A nice and unexpected love story, well built in the right context.
