Absolutely phenomenal acting from Emma Thompson, she really brings the character of Elinor to life and her scene at the very end when she finds out Edward isn't married and cries is remarkable. She really managed to portray the build up of Elinor's emotions and her personality perfectly
Lovely movie, both heartbreaking and hilarious. <3
Much more solemn in tone that "Pride and Prejudice" and with more broken hearts and love sufferings, but also a classic and great adaptation with wonderful acting.
As with any British period piece this quickly became an exercise in "where do I know that actor from again?", though I did not recognise Hugh Laurie without grey hair. Star cast, obviously, even if sometimes they overdo it a bit with their acting. I don't mind the changes from the novel, it's nice that Margaret (and Edward) are more interesting characters.
Aww<3 I was rooting for Brandon the whole time! Such a sweet man. Happy for him. <3
What an amazing cast! They all act incredibly well. The story is good but at the end it falls a little, but everything is worth it to see the acting.
As usual, Hugh didn't disappoint, playing a shy klutz. ;>
Didn't expect it to be so unfair, sad and depressing. But at least we got the happy endings we wanted.
