One of the bestion action movies for me.
Marky Mark never disappoints. This was a was really good watch. Well acted skill in warfare.
Definitely one of the better action movies I've watched in a while, although I would consider it as much "political thriller" as "action". Great movie about political cover-ups and ultimate payback. IMO, I felt like all the players - big and little - pulled off their roles very well. Definitely worth re-watching.
I don't get the love for this movie. It's all covered in a 2000s-thriller sheen, with editing and cinematography I'm not a fan of, and all the performances feel really lifeless - they somehow made Michael Pena charmless! And it feels very lumpy - the whole structure is weird, and not in a super interesting way? I get that it's cool that there's a sniper movie, and it's very good at that, but in general it didn't work for me.
Great movie with lots of action. You won't be disappointed. I enjoyed watching Shooter.
When this originally came out it was right when Mark Wahlberg seemed to be the star in everything. This is nowhere near my favorite, but it is nowhere near the worst. It is ultimately a pretty average action thriller than is easy to like, hard to love.

Shooter is a solid action movie with a good plot that keeps you engaged, but what really makes it great is the non-stop action and intense plot. While the acting is decent, the movie's main draw is the action scenes and the well-crafted plot. However, it must be said that the movie can be somewhat predictable at times. Overall, Shooter may not be the most groundbreaking action movie out there, but its action-packed scenes and intriguing plot make it an enjoyable and entertaining watch.

I happen to have read the Bob Lee Swagger book series and I had to put that to one side to enjoy this movie for what it is.
It is a good action movie and I had hoped they'd make a series that evolved closer to the books.

Being in my collection, definitely had to watch again for the millionth time and the shot just keeps on getting better, the explosions get louder, the action never gets old and the cast fit perfectly. It’s definitely one of my favourites from (Mark Wahlberg) or let’s say my best from him.
I watched this film, expecting to be let down. However it really did tick most of the boxes for me. I found it engaging and entertaining all the way through, for me a film where you want to watch through to the end because you WANT to watch, not out of a masochistic urge to "find out what happens". Mark Wahlbergs performance was top notch. Although there are a few "no chance" moments in the film as there always are with these type of films, the majority of it was for me within the realms of possibility. The soundtrack was also excellent and melded well with the action on screen. Both myself and my mother enjoyed this film greatly. I can't really think of any negatives for this film and can only recommend it.

Surprisingly fun action flick: what starts as one of those overly patriotic and cheesy Hollywood no-brainers (the "highlight" being Wahlberg swaggering in slow-mo for what feels like an endless time before the American flag), turns out to be a highly entertaining and political critically action movie that wants to show that the USA are not only the land of the free and the home of the braves, but also a country lead by some very corrupt, unscrupulous and selfish people!

big fan of marky mark he really comes through in this it's a great movie i def recommend it. bought the bluray the other day.
