It is usually assumed that there is going to be a large fall off from the first movie to the sequel. I had no illusions that this would not occur with the Slap Shot pair. I haven't seen such a terrible effort on sequel since they almost ruined the original Caddyshack with Caddyshack 2. The only carry over from the original cast here is the Hanson Brothers. Unfortunately they are almost 50 years old at the time this movie is released. Kind of makes their infantile humor just sad. The worst part of the casting is Stephen Baldwin(shocking I know). The man can barely stand on two skates, much less move around like the semi-professional hockey player he's supposed to be portraying. If you love the original Paul Newman classic, PLEASE stay away from this movie. It IS that bad.
