This movie made me miss my ex so terribly much. It's a depressingly good movie. I kinda struggle with this too. Sometimes I just don't know what to say or how to act to people who is so self-conscious about their insecurities, or how to tell them that it really doesn't matter. I'm afraid that whatever I say would end up hurting their feelings.

Subverts expectations - the freaks aren't necessarily nice people, and the popular kids aren't all despicable bullies. These are well-rounded characters, and you will like them and dislike them in equal measure.
