This movie is a pleasant surprise with no really big name stars and a fairly simple story. The focus is the dichotomy in male and female behaviors and relationships. There is a cleverly scripted scene where Donna and Christi Ann are talking about Joe and Stanny and vice versa with each pair getting the exact opposite of what they thought was happening. Tough to describe but it was nicely done. I love the jab at how everyone in L.A. thinks they can make movies where Stanny all of a sudden wants to become a screenwriter. But the best part of this story is that it didn't have to wrap up in a nice tight bundle of happiness like other movies do. The hand wave at the end says it all.
