The Adventures of Tintin 2011

Wow, must have been a rare occasion that the movie released in India earlier than the US. It was a good watch, had a fun time and the animation was pretty good too.

Beautiful animation, this movie is gorgeous. The story is fun and is a big adventure. Some really cool camera work only possible since its animation. I thought this would be too kid friendly for me but I enjoyed it and had a good time.

I love this movie. I have waited for Peter Jackson to do a sequel for 12 years now. Since he and Spielberg were supposed to take turns with each movie.
When Ready Player One was coming out, Spielberg even said it was still happening. That Peter Jackson was doing it.
I doubt he’ll ever get to it.

Completely waste of time.

Great movie. They did and awesome job mixing the first episode with the second one (wich is the Secret of the Unicorn). They have a lot of elements from the original TV series and the books, but they're not distracting for those who haven't watched.

Bored out of my skull. Total waste of my time. Animation was good but the rest was crap.

Enjoyed the film very much, if you take away the absolutely stunning animation not sure how the film would stand up though - probably above average: there are quite a few funny moments for sure.

Sometimes movies are loved, not for either box office numbers or quality but for nostalgia or meaning. A lot of my childhood revolved around Tintin, I played the game several times and could not stop saying Capt. Haddocks phrases. It's been a while since I last watched this, and I was surprised how well it held up through time. The animation and sophisticated dialogue made my jaw drop at times. Blistering blue barnacles, I hope Spielberg makes a number 2 or a live action version at least.

Really odd looking animation doesn't stop it from being a fun film.

One of the best animated adventure films out there. Definitely one to watch if you are a fan of films like Raiders of the Lost Ark etc. Definitely one to watch anyway!

My first 3D-Movie watched at home and not in a Theater was Tintin. It was as is the current 3D-consumer-hardware: nice but nothing special and certainly not a must-have!

Didnt think that they wouldve been able to pull it off.

Amazing animation but stupid storyline..

I am really looking forward to this movie. Hergé when he was alive supposedly have said that Steven Spielberg was the best man to direct a Tintin movie.

This will be Steven Spielberg first animated picture. Its going to be in motion capture, the same way of filming as Robert Zemeckis used in Beowulf and A Christmas Carol. The actors will be wearing special suits that records every move in enormous green studio's and later in editing the computer animation will be placed over their own bodies and their surroundings.
