We continue with spaghetti westerns, this one is more classic, but the story surprises you and is not as you expect. We liked it. Tarantino got ideas from here
Van Cleef is a gunfighter of course, but more than that, he is a detective, and a human being. Milian plays a scoundrel, but as the film develops, you will find out more about the character. Watching Milian act reminded me of Toshiro Mifune in Seven Samurai. Come to find out, Milian studied at the Actors Studio in New York, which explains the method acting. Enjoyed the Great anthem during the credits, great sound-track, acting, camera work.

Don't be fooled by its rating, this is one of the best westerns out there.
It is entrancing, funny, tense, ... and all that while staying away from the genre's clichés.
