The Dead and the Deadly 1982

The Dead and the Deadly was actually a Sammo Hung outing I hadn't seen, and I was really looking forward to it when Eureka announced their blu-ray release. I ended up being a little disappointed. Not in the Eureka release, as that is as good as it always is, but the film ended up being not all that great. The pacing were all off, and even though the martial arts were great, it was way too little of it. The story was also chopped up, and felt like it was three different short stories mashed into one. Out of the many supernatural comedies Sammo has done, this does not rate particularly high.
