At just over 2 hours, this movie would've benefited from some extensive editing, at least 30 minutes worth. Carve out a little more, and it would've made a decent installment of "Black Mirror". The extended runtime leaves plenty of room for plot-holes, and there are many. There's a lot of overacting on the part of one of the main characters, Alex -- though he's got crying down well. Slow moving and sleep inducing -- a shame as they've got a good 'frame'work for something better... ;-)
Very interesting film. I like something that has weird in it, and this has a decent weird factor. About half way through, I thought I had it all sussed, but after what I predicted happened, the film continues and gets more weird.
There’s definitely better weird films out there, but this was definitely worth a watch to get the brain working.
Way too many repeating scenes ballooned the runtime. The first two acts were decently directed and both protagonists gave good performances. The third act though dragged on forever until it collapsed/concluded without making any new points that weren't already hammered on previously.
I am a big fan of Ink, the previous work of the Winans'es.And i probably watched The Frame about ten times now. To make such a movie with no budget is amazing, and okay, it is not flawless, but damn well near that. I agree with chaz below that it has a bit of Black Mirror to it, however, it is good enough for me, for sure. Try doing better or shut up, hehe. Cheers, Kiowa and Jamin!
This is a very slooow movie - in other words, it might be good to watch if you can't sleep.
However, it is also quite interesting. I found it to be quite unique. I think it's definitely worth a look but as I said it is quite slow.

Two people's lives collide in an alternate reality, where together, they fight an evil entity who is trying to destroy the world.
You want a movie that is tough to categorize? This is one you could choose. There were moments in this when I actually got a little freaked out. Primarily in the first act when our two main characters first encounter each other. I'm not going to say how this happens because it's the most enjoyable part of the movie.
There is also some extremely strange interaction between the characters and we, the viewers. I wouldn't say it's breaking the fourth wall, but one of the characters actually alters the "frame" of the movie. It's quite strange and in the end, I'm still not certain I understand what I watched. But I don't care because it was interesting and different.
