The Gospel of Eureka 2018

It could be said that this documentary is presented as an idyllic review of our society, a utopia of tolerance. In Eureka Springs, the passion of Jesus Christ is represented every summer in a great theater production, but at the same time a gay couple runs a nightclub where drag queens perform songs with Christian content. The apparent contradictions between religion and homosexual sentiment seem absent in this population of the southern United States. And although the structure is rather conventional, there is a good editing work that introduces a certain ironic look. This documentary film offers a partial vision, which brings its gaze closer to its own message, but has a certain positivist ambition about how our society could be.
