Still holds up pretty well. The music brought me back to the late 2000s.
It's pretty bad but you can see it. the chinese bastard is the best
This isn't a favorite type of movie for me. The stereotypical male behavior that's presented in media surrounding chicks and drinking is stupid to me and I've never understood the appeal or appreciated it being passed on as an okay norm to both male and female youths. It's unrealistic for these guys to even be friends really, but then again; it's also so often presented that it's acceptably normal and all in good fun that they be genuinely mean to each other. All that said, the movie did make me laugh a considerable amount. It wasn't anything I'd care about ever watching again, but it wasn't completely awful, and had its entertainment value. At least in this movie trilogy male nudity is shown as well as female; it gets kudos from me on that front. Nothing's turned me off quicker (said for emphasis of course) than hearing a dude go "oh god, I don't need to see that" when it comes to the male form in films, but he would think a woman was overreacting if she felt the same the other way around. And of course, what should quickly become obvious in reading my reviews; I despise cheating being presented casually or as something that doesn't incite serious consequences. Yes, they were drugged to the point of not even remembering their actions later, but still. Let's hope Stu (all of them, just in case) went and got tested before banging anyone, like poor Stu's wifey. Oh, and kudos for testing being mentioned at all. Yes, that's in the second film, but let's just say this review overall covers both the first and second.
Take a drink everytime they say the name Doug...go pussy, your turn
The best one still
Entertaining and enjoyable! Zach is really funny.

Epic.
Funniest movie I've seen in a long while!
Yes, I still love the wolf-pack.
By this time next year I’ll watch the hangover 100 times if this gets 10 likes
"thinking about getting my bartender's license."
One of my all time favorite comedy movies
No doubt, good movie.
But i think "Get him to the Greek" is a little bit better.
Anyway: 8/10
The film has a fast-paced and unpredictable narrative, that keeps the viewers engaged and curious. The film has a clever and witty script, that delivers many laugh-out-loud moments and quotable lines. The film has a talented and charismatic cast, that has a great chemistry and timing. The film has a catchy and fitting soundtrack, that enhances the mood and tone of the scenes. The film has a realistic and vibrant cinematography, that captures the essence and atmosphere of Las Vegas.
Such a hilarious and unforgettable comedy film! It's about a group of friends who go to Las Vegas for a bachelor party, but when they wake up the next morning, they can't remember a thing, including where the groom went. As they try to piece together their wild night, they encounter all sorts of crazy and hilarious situations. It's definitely a must-watch if you're in the mood for a good laugh!
this movie is a classic and sometimes you need to take a break and watch movies you don't need to use your brain for thanks for coming to my ted talk
a load of meh meh meh imo
Fun film good watch if you're bored!
I hate to say that this movie didn't gel with me as it does for most people. I went into this with high expectations and was a little letdown. I liked many aspects of the characterization and performances. A lot of the plot points were interesting. Unfortunately, much of the comedy didn't do much for me. Despite some funny scenes, overall I found the humor to be dry. 6/10. I hope this will grow on me. I will rewatch it again someday and give it another chance.

Hey guys, you ready to let the dogs out? Comedies are always set up to fail being arguably the most subjective genre of film. The Hangover in its premise isn't the greatest thing in the world, it's drunk Memento. But what makes Hangover work so well are the actors involved, primarily the main three; Cooper, Helms & Galifianakis. They embody those characters perfectly, feeling like extensions of their own natural dispositions and the contrast between them makes for a fun watch. Director Todd Phillips also knows how to juggle a group of characters on the screen virtually an entire movie and not lose anybody in the shuffle. Definitely deserving of at least a single watch.
Alan: "It's not illegal, it's frowned upon, like masturbating on an air plane."
Phil: "I'm pretty sure that's illegal too."
Alan: "Yeah, maybe after 9/11, where everybody got so sensitive. Thanks a lot, bin Laden."
:rofl:
It's fratty and a little plebby, but it has its moments.
The concept's fun and the acting is pretty solid (Ken Jeong basically steals this whole movie), but it makes so many choices that ensured this thing would have little to no shelve life. The music sounds horribly dated now (nostalgic perhaps, but this specific kind of bling era/club hiphop doesn't hold up), they put little to no effort into the filmmaking, a lot of the comedy is dumb (the bad kind) and again, dated. In other words, it's a studio comedy meant to appeal to the lowest common denominator. However, you could do a lot worse within that specific genre, because this does have quite a few memorable scenes.
5/10
was Alan's character named that just for Phil's line towards the end: "he's on the roof, Alan." (like the drug's name, Ruphylin)?
"So long, gay boys."
Going into this, I was a little pessimistic. Most likely because this is a comedy film, and I'm worried I'll find it boring and unfunny; that defeats the overall purpose. I don't think that's happened to me yet. At least completely. And I've barely watched that many comedy films yet, either. So, it's needless worrying on my part.
Now, at the same time, I didn't laugh out loud a lot. That's probably due to watching everything by myself, being by myself, with a bit of desensitization. I've found that when I'm with someone, the littlest things seem to make me laugh involuntarily. The kind of laughter you get, generally, not just with films, when it comes to instances you aren't supposed to laugh at, trying desperately to hold it back, not laugh. That makes it tough to determine whether I found a comedy film funny, so even with comedy films, it still comes down to entertainment; was I entertained?
With this film? In a nutshell, yes. It was entertaining to watch; I wasn't slowly getting bored. I can understand how the comedy aspect would be hilarious to people, either overall or in some parts of it, even though I didn't laugh much.
My favorite part/what I liked most about it was probably the lead characters, especially Phil and Alan. That aspect of the writing did a lot for this film. And, of course, the performances by Bradley Cooper and Zach Galifianakis helped with that, too. Mr. Chow (including Ken Jeong's performance) was also up there. Overall, the three leads had good chemistry with each other, which bled into the film/their characters, and that, combined with the writing side of things, ended up with a good result.
Interestingly enough, despite being a focal part of the story in an off-screen capacity, Doug stood out the most. I wanted him to be more present. Something about Justin Bartha's performance gave more of a likeability factor to Doug, wanting more of him, which I hope is the case in the other two films. But I feel like that won't be the case.
Two other aspects that stood out tremendously were the soundtrack and the cinematography (as well as some of the film's editing by Debra Neil-Fisher). The soundtrack was by far the best one I've heard so far out of every movie I've watched. 'Fantastic' doesn't even come close to describing it. And the cinematography was shockingly great; I wasn't expecting it to be, especially for this kind of film. Lawrence Sher did a great job with it.
I haven't read much of what people say about it, but I get the impression that the reception is similar to Tropic Thunder, and if you've read my review for that film, you'd probably guess that I'd disagree with that sentiment for this film, too.
Yes, you're correct. (If my impression is spot-on) this film is overrated. Just like Tropic Thunder. But it's far from bad.
So, overall, this film was pretty positive. Pretty much everything I liked (the story was straightforward, but that's not a negative), which made the whole movie even better.
It is interesting but not good. Watching how they trivialize alcoholism and drug abuse is amazingly shocking.
7,5/10

"To a night the four of us will never forget!"
I would consider this a classic for sure. At the time it was a fresh bachelor party story and they brought in Mike Tyson! I found myself laughing but also thinking that there is no way they could make a movie like this these days. Crazy to think the director went on to do Joker!
This was definitely some light-hearted comedic fun. This was my first time seeing this movie and I was neither massively impressed nor disappointed. It was just a fun watch that has some really great scenes.
"Did, umm... did Caesar live here?"
It must have been a good 8 years since I've seen last seen the Hangover and I was wondering today if it would still hold up and yes, for me it does.
The Hangover is about 4 friends having a "bachelor" party in Las Vegas before Doug (Justin Bartha) gets married. It all gets out of hand when Alan (Zach Galifianakis) slips everyone "roofies" in their Jagermeister shot at the beginning of their night out. Which leads to Phil (Bradley Cooper), Stu (Ed Helms) and Alan losing the groom Doug and everyone blacked out.
What follows are some crazy sequences, nostalgic music, Bradley Cooper stealing the show, Ed Helms being some version of Andy, a great song by Ed Helms, Heather Graham being a stripper with a great rack named Jade and marrying to Stu, Tigers, Mike Tyson, Ken Jeong as Mr. Chow and a great scene with tasers.
So all in all, I had some laughs and a fun time.
Very very good, its my favorite trilogy
2.2 points -> Cinematography (0-3)
1.6 points -> Acting and Characters (0-2)
2.7 points -> Plot (0-3)
0.7 points -> Score (0-1)
0.9 -> enjoyed the movie. (0-1)
Aka. 8.1 points + 0.4 'cause of the idea and funny moments= 8.5 points
I love the film, a simple idea but very well thought out and structured.
This film could be one of the best, it would easily enter a top 100, if it were the only one and there were no other 2.
The wolf-pack has made it to Netflix! And it's still just as funny as the first time I saw it.
Absolute CLASSIC. The Trilogy needs to be on everyone's list for comedies.
nowdays a great comedy movie is hard to find and because of that the hangover 1 is one of the best one
The only time that i've watched the all credits of an film! Amazing film, this is a real comedy movie!!! Love it!
Brilliant chemistry and a few plot tweaks make The Hangover better than you could possibly be expecting going in.
Unfortunately, the characterisation of Burry wasn’t as slick. This could be a result of Bale’s gimmicky quirks which although a crucial factor in the portrayal of Burry, were considerably distracting on occasion. This is a small bug to bear throughout a whirlwind of words, crime, and justice. The Big Short reels audiences in with stand-out performances even from supporting cast, giving emotional whiplash through shock and humour. Adam McKay has upped his game.
LOL this is so funny! Must see!
IMHO a funny comedy but not THE revelation as hailed by some people.
This film is awesome. It also is stupid as hell!
I love it! It's a little too close to reality for me and a few of my friends... I have the hospital bills to remind me.
Best drunk movie i watched
When you're laughing so hard you're crying them you KNOW this movie is going be amazing!!!
Thanx i hope i Will enyo it
Awesome hilarious and sick
Prepare yourself for a wild ride
Lots of laughs, but now been overplayed
Even as it is a very vulgar movie I could stop laughing the whole way through.
Pretty funny. I think it got a littleness hype than it deserved but still a really good movie.
Very Funny
One of the funniest films I have seen! Highly recommended for a great laugh.
I find it harlarious that he is on the roof the whole time and they had to go all over las vegas.
Funny movie. Have seen it a few times and loved it.
Thought it might be stupid, but actually it was pretty funny, in an over-the-top "no way" kind of way.
Definitely some laugh-out-loud moments, but for me, the best part of the film was the growing bond amongst the main characters. That believable arc helped ground what could've been just a series of over-the-top vignettes into an interesting, enjoyable romp.
Unfortunately this is one of the funniest comedies of recent years.. I didn't think it was particularly funny, it was just okay, but compared with other recent 'comedies', it was extremely funny. At least it's a step away from the completely empty romantic comedies of the past years. Hopefully this will be the start of better times for comedy movies.
one of the funniest movies ever.

Certainly some laugh-out-loud moments, and a decent way to spend a cold, lazy Friday night, but not the supreme achievement in comedy some have suggested it is. Ed Helms (as the milquetoast who finally stands-up for himself) was the stand-out role and performance.
