[FETUS SCREECHES] A bloodthirsty mutant fetus on a revenge spree, it's Basket Case meets Within (2016) meets Alien. The Suckling is a dumb creature feature with funny one-liners and a silly tone. Low budget B-movie all the way.
Great practical effects, cool creature design and the kills are bloody. A bit of a turn-off when they opted for someone wearing a costume but still cool. The quote "the only tools we have in this house are a hammer and a screwdriver" fits perfectly to describe the characters; generic and dumb. Awful acting and amateur camerawork but the score is quite good.
Not enough creature action in the middle really slowed this down, could have done without the inner turmoil between the characters subplot. Not too good of a third act but I wasn't ready for that moment (end of third act). I can see this being provocative for some but it loses all credibility by being a dumb movie.
