edgarwright UPDATED: On the very night of the BAFTA's, as we near the end of the 2023/2024 awards cycle, you will have already heard about several excellent films that are nominated, or have already won some hardware. But that's never the full story of the cinematic year.

With that in mind, here's 40 or so movies I saw in the last year that I enjoyed, was impressed by, or I think are of note, that were NOT nominated for either a BAFTA or an Oscar.
