This must be the most under advertised spoof ever..
Ridiculously funny spoof of romcoms, would have had me watching this so much earlier, if only I knew!
it's packed with great comedic actors, the SNL gang were let out for this one.
While not a complete disaster, this was certainly disappointing considering the cast/writers involved who are capable of making so much better than this. There are some very funny moments which are scattered through out the film and even at just 83 mins, it felt way too long. I kept looking at my watch couple of times. This would have worked much better as an episode on a sitcom or something.
This movie is essentially one joke that plays out for 84 minutes (mocking the clichéd rom-com genre). While sometimes funny, it's mostly just repetitive and disappointing considering the otherwise funny and talented cast.
For all the people that are saying this movie is horrible...You are WAY too serious. This movie is hilarious in numerous ways. I've watched enough "romantic comedies" to get all the jokes and see how stupid most of those movies actually are. The movie is not meant to be serious, so if you don't like spoofs, then don't watch the movie, Eggfarts.
This is so cheesy, cringy, outrageous that I cannot help but love it. Saying it is a quirky rom-com would be a wild understatement. It is one that everyone should at least check out, but my apologies if you outright hate it.

How have I never come upon this movie before now?! If you aren’t a fan of movie genre spoofs, this not for you. If you are, this one is very, very funny & has a fantastic cast. Skewers every Rom-Com cliche expertly!
Amy Poehler, always delightful in every way, teams up with Paul Rudd and a million other funny people to create a romantic comedy while simultaneously skewering every rom-com cliche in the book. Totally silly, but I laughed at some of it. Worth the price of admission alone to see Amy dressed in a Ben Franklin Halloween costume.
This intentionally corny parody is very clever but its style gets a little annoying after a short 83 minute run time. They Came Together would've worked better as a tv special or a short film. Amy Poehler and Paul Rudd are decent and there is some good humor but this film just isn't for me.
Worst. Movie. Ever. Never has such a stellar cast been forced to work with such awful material. I haven't seen anything else from this director and after this I'll make sure I never do.

Slapstick movie for Amy to waste some time until last season of Parks and Recreation starts?
No idea.
With all the people involved one might think this satire of romantic comedies was actually funny. Too bad that's not the case because that is what the movie needed to succeed considering it's made up by tropes entirely. Heck, I ended up skipping through a 15 minute part towards the end without missing anything.
I'd say it's a waste of everyone's talent but it's not like I felt that anybody was really into it anyways.
