Strange film. It should have been a thriller, but the suspense wasn't there. I felt like I was watching a "slice of life" film about criminals (I don't want to be more specific to avoid spoilers). A tourist in Cuba gets in over his head in other people's business. But something was missing, which caused this film to end up as slice of life—that means the story arc wasn't strong enough. Terrific Cuban soundtrack, though, so put on your best headphones!
