i didn't like it, it represented the Uzbekistan culture n country in a bad way .. plus it was very boring
[Filmin] Another emotional journey from director Kiyoshi Kurosawa. Curiously, despite being a commissioned work with political view, it is one of his most personal films. Some elements of his J-horror movies accentuate the culture shock. But there are also elements of melodrama, musical, comedy ... Mix of genres that ends up being equally confusing and fascinating.

There's a scene where the Japanese presenter filming a travelog in Uzbekistan gets lost after running off to follow a cat with her camcorder... This is the perfect metaphor for To the Ends of the Earth: it's random, heavy on the symbolism, and a little all over the place. (It is also pretty cute.)
