Fantastic soundtrack, nice continuity and plot
I like movies that have deeper and more complicated storylines, but I just didn't get what was going on at some point. Need to give it a rewatch obviously, but somehow I don't feel like it anymore xD
And since I cannot rate something I do not understand, it is pending :P
Man what the actual fuck. I just wanted to watch a fun film of some bank robbers trying to find a painting and instead the film turns into a convoluted shit show with some pseudo-science spouting shrink fucking about. The first half hour is so good and then Elizabeth comes in and the film tries to be clever and WHY WON'T ELIZABETH DIE LIKE MY GOD WHAT THE FUCK I HATE HER I ACTUALLY HATE HER.
In all seriousness though, this film is really bad, I actually can't believe that someone wrote this and then managed to get people to put actual real money into making it and no one stopped them. Why didn't anyone stop this film from happening?
By the way, did you know this sad excuse for a writer already made this film in 2001 https://trakt.tv/movies/trance-2001. They made it, everyone hated it, and then they waited 12 years to make it again with a bigger budget. It's such a pity too because the cast and directing and pretty much everything besides the story are really good.
Boyle's kinetic style is very much evident here and the film is visually impressive. Given that the nature of the plot revolves around hypnosis and memory, it is clear from the outset that not everything is as it seems. However whilst the finale and resolution are satisfying and make a second viewing worthwhile if not essential, the film does get a little confusing the first time. This may well have been the intent, but with the editing style and plot elements somewhat disjointed at various points in the film, it occasionally goes a little to far and loses the audience. Thankfully the film does bring all these elements together in a satisfying, if not particularly revelatory way at the end.

It was just so weird, I couldn't wrap my head around it most of the time. Didn't like it much, but James is so great...
I simply loved the movie. It´s amazing. I can´t record the last movie that got me attached like this one did. Very good story :)
Wow, this movie will keep you guessing with twists and turns, and just when you think you know, yet another twist and another turn. You'll be glued to your seat!
Well, that was a wild ride! Not quite what I was expecting, but that's okay, cause I loved what it turned out to be. I love the twists and turns this tale took me through. Glad I finally gave this a look.
Very good thriller that goes places that Inception should have. Completely engrossing, despite a few minor plot holes here and there. Another stellar film from Danny Boyle. :)

This movie came off as a British attempt to make an American thriller. It just didn't come out well.
Great but needs your attention
Kept me interested the whole movie, certainly as good or better then inception but I would compare it to the ocean 11 series
