Good movie it stays Exciting till the end. the movie is a little bit unssatisfied at the end you hope to see more
As an Electrical Engineer that understood SOME of the math, I found this to be a fantastic movie. If you like to think while watching a movie this one works and the story line is believable.
7/10.. quick and fun...like rubbing one out on lunch break..not perfect..but filled the bill
A cerebral look at how aliens may communicate with us...math.
Will do for mathematics what Rainman did for autism.
Imagine Arrival as one giant math story problem you didn't prepare enough for and you have UFO. Oh, plus Gillian Anderson appears in the role of 'I can't believe I'm getting paid for this'.
The things I watch for Gillian Anderson.
A big pile of nothing. Waste of time.
I like sci-fi.
I like Alex Sharp.
I like Gillian Anderson.
I don't like maths.
And as maths plays too large a part in the eqation of this movie, I have to say that I was left cold at the film's end. Oh, and its a messy affiar too, with tired looking actors who were probably as bored as I was with the film. Evoked those feelings I used to get when I was sat in my maths lessons at school.
A movie for children, the theme wouldn't be bad, nor would the solving of this mystery itself, but it's so weird, so unfinished, so more for teenagers than a proper movie, and the ending of the movie is terrible. Both him and the actor in his prime, Derek is kind of crazy, that type of dumb nerd who cares about nothing but himself and solving this mystery. Just a disappointment, probably good for teenagers, but stupid for an adult.
I really enjoyed this intellectual sci-fi, it’s a refreshing change of pace. Loved the sound track too.
Very similar to the famous sighting over O'Hare Airport on November 7, 2006, around 4:15 p.m.
It's not the best movie I've seen. But a good story.

It makes sense , it’s not your typical big studio thriller , but it’s done well, enigmatic...
