Not as bad as European Vacation but not really that good either. It has a few moments.
Forgot this was a movie, watched it .. had wished I hadn't remembered. The jokes are the cheap kinds, just stupidity humor. The old Vacation movies had some wit behind their jokes. It wasn't a guy driving his car all over the place, while reading a map, and trying to be funny.
Completely forgettable entry in a franchise whose other movies I really enjoyed.
Tame and dull entry into the franchise. It's engaging enough for a one time watch, but it doesn't really add anything worthwhile. Though the subplot with Beverly D'Angelo and Wayne Newton was a nice turning of the tables.

Vegas Vacation definitely feels like a stretch in trying to extend the Vacation franchise. Unfortunately, the movie falls far short of measuring up to the original. While there are some funny moments and amusing side characters, the overall plot feels forced and lacks the charm and wit of the first movie. While the film may appeal to die-hard fans of the series, Vegas Vacation is a far cry from the original classic and ultimately feels like a forgettable addition to the franchise.
