While this satire of corporate excess and possibly the beginnings of the reality TV craze is mildly entertaining, this movie misses the mark. Can the rivalry between Lionel Powers and Julian Messenger be so strong that they are both willing to smear their rival, their companies, their families, and any politician who gets in the way of buying a football team? Well, it must be. These 2 megalomaniacs have the deepest closets in history because the skeletons that keep getting pulled out as needed are more fantastic than 50 years of Days of Our Lives could produce. Even this amazing cast could not save this failed attempt at teaching us a humility lesson. R. Lee Erney was outstanding and it was strange to see Jason Lee as the suit here. There is not one second of football in this movie.
