When We First Met 2018

I was kind of in the mood, so I watched this newest Netflix movie "When We First Met" with Adam Devine and Alexandra Daddario. Honestly, I kind of it enjoyed it. I'm a softie for romcoms, the Groundhog day mechanic and I love Adam Devine back from his Workaholics days, so this one was a fun watch. Don't expect anything breathtaking, other than some solid fun and shenanigans. I really liked the other female lead/co-lead as well (Shelley Hennig is her name). I haven't seen her in anything else before, but I'd definitely be interested in seeing more of her.

When We First Met is a fun and easy-going movie. I got a bit lost in the timeline but you pick it up again rather quickly. It has a great cast and I enjoyed the storyline a lot. So, yea, it's a fun movie, nothing too special, but very enjoyable.

I can proudly confirm that Adam Devine is the most douchiest actor I've ever seen. And it's really devistating to claim after appearing as a goofy, funny, lovable guy in Modern Family, but since then he brings a tacky, brash, obnoxious, over the top asshole in every character of his, and that is the case in this one. He has played multiple personas in here but he always delivered the same features. The ending was quite allright, the only problem with that was you can figure it out way sooner.
After all you can ask the question why I watched it. Because I'm a sucker of movies based on time loops, but it's even weak for a subpar pastiche for Groundhog Day. A hard pass.

This was one of those cases where I just fancied watching something 'lighter' that didn't require much investment, and you know what? I was pleasantly surprised. Yeah, the endgame is telegraphed fairly early on, but that's honestly part of the charm for me. Each of the timelines were well thought consequences of what he changed each time he went back. Also had some genuine laugh out loud moments.

It's not going to join the upper echelon of my go to 'nice' films, but it's definitely something I'd recommend checking out and maybe re-watch if I ever feel like I need the film's message to be remembered.

Cute Romantic comedy with a predictable plot.

I can conqur that Noah/Adam was a very unlikeable as a character very obnoxious and you really wanted to punch him in the face. Mediocre romcom, you guess the ending very fast and very predictable. Not really funny. The good thing about the movie is that is only 97 minutes, it couldn’t drag out any more.

Wasn't expecting too much from this, very cliche rom com with a controllable time travel mechanic where all along its just a lesson to the main antagonist that leads to a huge epiphony. But I sincerely enjoyed this film. The cast absolutely nailed their performances and it was a believable story. Defintely recommend watching.

Kinda cute, very predictable, and apparently I'm unsatisfied by every romcom that's not from the early twenty-first century or before.

I watched this just 'cause I couldn't find anything else... but I loved it... plenty of laughs and a really nice twist to the 'groundhogday' type move. My wife called it a chick-flick but I think guys would really get into this too... I hate chick-flicks - this is waay better! 10/10

Entertaining, but predictable, it won’t change your life and probably forget all about it in a couple days, but there are worst ways of spending 1.30 hours.

The most generic obvious stereotypical predictable film you'll see yet still somehow enjoyable with a lot of laughs

overall alright movie. a good cast with some nice moments. funny at times. it's just the ending which was absolutely sweet and all around perfect. when he does everything the exact same and not get "the girl" but gets the girl anyway. a sucker for Rom coms would love it

Every so often, I see a film that I can only guess was completely different from the one that Rotten Tomatoes saw.

For a romantic comedy with time travel elements, it has a surprising final act. Sure, it's still a sugary ending, but not the one that I'd have predicted. I think it could have been tightened up a bit with maybe one less cycle, maybe spent a bit more time developing Max, who could as easily have not been in the film as it runs.

Why do I enjoy trash so much?

After few minutes into the movie you kinda know how it will play out and end, unoriginal and very predictable. Still for some reason that didn't take away from me enjoying it. It's really funny with a really good cast and awesome dynamic between them.

The first time I met this high concept, it was the movie Groundhog Day. Back then, the concept was fresh and funny, with some great jokes and fine performances (Andi McDowell not included). In 2018, the concept is stale and dull, at least it is in this unfunny mess. It's predictable too, and considering the time bending thread, ironically so!

it's not something unique but was really cute. I watched 2 awful movies before that and this was a breath of fresh air. Robbie and Alex are power couple. The ending is very, very obvious but i didn't mind it. It was funny and as i said cute

a twist of love, laughter, and a good story. Enjoyed it more than i expected.

The ending of this film came out of nowhere. This was supposed to be a rom-com about Noah and Avery get together, but instead, the filmmakers threw a screwball, and they had Noah end up w/ Carrie, Avery's best friend. It would've been one thing had they put them together in some capacity, where there was obvious chemistry between, during the course of the film, but they didn't, so Noah's realization that he wanted to be with Carrie fell flat.

Is it just me or does Adam DeVine look a lot like young Michael C. Hall (Dexter)?

I enjoyed it, although it got me bored sometimes , maybe because is kinda predictable. Nothing really new but it's a ok light movie to see on a Sunday afternoon.
