"Wrong Turn 4: Bloody Beginnings" continues the story of the cannibal brothers who hunt unsuspecting teenagers who are lost in their way. Nothing special about this sequel as the story gets predictable the moment they set foot in unfamiliar territory. Definately an uninteresting sequel to a very weak franchise that looks to be going downhill since the first sequel.
I miss slasher movies like this from the late 90s and early 00s. Man they used to push the boundaries with the sick shit they do to these characters. Gratuitous nudity and gore. If you, as a viewer didn’t leave the experience wondering your own sanity for watching these, the movie failed to deliver. I left every one of these movies and similar franchises like SAW, The Hills Have Eyes, Wolf Creek etc., vowing never to rewatch. Because, once is enough. Having said that, it’s amazing how in the later years, I ended up watching these movies again from time to time and still get a shock similar to the first time. I think it’s because the story and character arcs themselves are not memorable at all. They are so bad, you won’t remember them after a year or so. It’s like every time I rewatch these after a period of time, I vaguely recall parts of the story. But not enough to stop me from going “Holy crap I forgot that shit happened in this movie!”.
The goriest and sickest one yet, but also the dumbest characters. Well worth a watch & just as good as the previous ones.
Weakest film in the franchise so far. They could have called this film anything other than "Wrong Turn" as it feels completely out of place alongside the other films. Director, "Hey, let's take the characters out of the woods and put them in a snowy environment".
Yet another dull, cheap horror set inside a sanatorium with annoying teens/twenty-somethings. Offers nothing. Delivers nothing. I hope it returns back to the original films premise.

Script is bad too. Incredibly dumb girls? No problem! One of the worst horror movies.
If you read this comment before watching - STOP. 90 minutes of your life is not worth it.
I didn't think the three previous films were bad at all and for the most part avoided dumb horror victim tropes but this one is noticeably worse. We have not one but two dumb girls who choose terrible moments to say things like "let's be better than them" and avoid killing the cannibals who just ate their friend in front of them. The dialogue is also a lot worse than in the previous movies. I see Declan O'Brien is also the writer for the next two so hopefully this isn't a thing now.

What can i say, it’s the fourth of a franchise that is going downhill. The replace the script by sex and gore. The performances are weak, script is weak, not worth the watch unless you are watching the series.
