Julian Reese is the creative mind behind the short film The Black Dog Runs at Night, Portrait of Slinky, Achtung, and Fool's Errand. As a devout cinephile, and aspiring director, Black Dog was his very first attempt at creating a short film with artistic liberty. He has since made more shorts, learning more about the craft as he goes along. He has cited John Cassavetes, Andrei Tarkovsky, Lars Von Trier, David Lynch, Jean-Luc Godard, Martin Scorsese and Ingmar Bergman as large influences on his body of work. He currently resides in Maryland.
