Fast & Furious is a series of action films which centers on the investigation of LA’s illegal street racing gangs and the high jacking of trucks containing valuable cargo. Undercover cop Brian O'Conner (Paul Walker) is assigned to discover their identities by joining a highly skilled street racing crew run by Dominic “Dom” Toretto (Vin Diesel). The series then follows the lives and situations of the characters in the films questioning loyalty and the law.

1. Fast and Furious (June 22, 2001)
2. Better Luck Tomorrow (January 12, 2002)
The unofficial prequel movie. While its not officially affiliated with the "Fast and Furious" franchise, its widely considered to be a prequel story to introduce Han Lue (Sung Kang), who's introduced in "Tokyo Drift. Han subsequently became one of the main recurring characters in the F&F franchise.
3. The Turbo Charged Prelude for 2 Fast 2 Furious (June 3, 2003 Short Film)
Turbo-Charged Prelude is a 2003 short film, (6 min), directed by Philip Atwell, featuring Paul Walker, reprising his role as Brian O'Conner, in a short series of sequences which bridge The Fast and The Furious with its first sequel, 2 Fast 2 Furious. The short contains no dialogue, but if you're wondering how Brian wound up with the Nissan Skyline he has at the start of the "Fast and Furious" sequel, the six-minute video will show you exactly how it all happened.
4. 2 Fast 2 Furious (June 6, 2003.)
5. Los Bandoleros (July 28, 2009 Short Film)
The film tells the back story about the characters and events leading up to the explosive oil truck heist in Fast & Furious.

9. The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift (2006)
The entire timeline of the ‘third movie’, "Tokyo Drift," takes place years later after the sixth "Fast and Furious" movie. (SPOILER) If it sounds confusing, you can watch Han's death scene from the end of "Tokyo Drift" merged with the "Fast 6" scene here

We (“Insider”) have a feeling this order is going to change up a bit again after the untitled "Fast and the Furious 9" comes out next year (2021)
If you've seen "Hobbs and Shaw," there are some hints that the movie may take place before "Fast 9." If so, we wouldn't be surprised since "Fast 9" was originally supposed to come out in 2019 before getting delayed due to the Covid Pandemic.

There is said to be a second spin-off film in development focusing on the female characters of the Fast and Furious series. There is also a TV series that recently launched on Netflix called Spy Racers with eight episodes in it.
The tenth film was supposed to follow in April 2021, but this will now be later.
