Romel Tibre is a multidisciplinary writer. He has a vast experience in journalism and is currently the Associate Editor of The Laurel Standard, the official student publication of Lyceum of the Philippines University-Cavite. As a screenwriter, director, and cinematographer his works received numerous honors since his debut in “Sa Likod ng Maskara.” Majority of his works tackle pressing social issues. Tibre is also an experienced host, project supervisor, creative director, and public speaker. Currently, he acts as Co-Chairperson to Agueda Foundation for Alternative Media, an organization committed to uplifting free press, and heads its most recent project, a news production summit. In 2019, he became a recipient of Jose P. Laurel Memorial Foundation Award.
