This is going to be an amazing show. First episode has me hooked.
This was definely worth waiting for.
If he had a baby with someone in 1960 his son would be around 56 today, thus making Franco 19 years younger then his son. Point is, in 9 years Franco can retire at 46 after killing his own son by collecting his pension & SS. Imagine if that was his scam and all he did was have tones of kids back in the 60s as cash cows. The American Dream...
Great introduction and living up to the amazing book.
I realize that most Americans are stupid but for goodness sake he is a TEACHER! He should have above average intelligence!
Meanwhile, what is our main character doing?
1. He shaves AFTER going to the past because, after all, he couldn't shave at home in the 21st century.
2. Buys a car that everyone pays attention to.
3. When he pisses off the local criminals by winning an impossible bet, then instead of returning with money to the 21st century (and reset time) he goes to... motel.
4.Moving to 1960, he takes with him an iPhone (because surely he'll need one?) and a pocket knife a souvenir of the Vietnam War that hasn't happened yet.
And so on and similar idiocies. I wonder if the book original was also an "idiot".

Good grief - Given that this was one of the best books I've read this year this show is a hot mess right now. The show seems, so far, to miss the point of everything that makes the book so compelling which is a real shame - I hope it picks up.
Reasonable pilot. But a bat poor acting and storyline.
15 mins in and I am hooked
The idea for the show is pretty far out there, and I think that kind of effects ones opinion of the acting at least a little (that is why I watched the pilot episode twice). But I think the acting is actually rather good, I think it helped me by watching it for the second time. And once I bought into the rather far fetched idea of the show and stopped questioning ideas by trying to poke holes in the story's idea. I quickly found myself sucked in to the show. In short, if one can look past the far fetched idea for a science fiction show, I think anyone would find the show more then enjoyable... they would find it a addictively good show.
I just finished the book and now starting the series. Already see some big differences. Overall liking where it's going though.
Fantastic start to what looks like one addictive programme interesting to say the least (10/10) :) Now to the second episode .. enjoy peeps ........ \O/
