If it wasn't for the ending, this would have been one of the best outings this show has had in years. We get some strong it's all around, with intrigue that's moving a lot of the characters forward. I am a bit worried that the show is about to put Maddy back in a rut she's quite familiar with in this series, but other than that, we don't see too many predictable throughlines here.
The ending, however, is pretty baffling and at best falls flat. You'll have to see it for yourself, but it's certainly enough to knock it down a peg of two. However, to end this episode on a high note, the song selection and mastering choices are largely improved in comparison to the previous outings this season.
"Me & Karen have been where they are." Ummm Really?? A lesbian couple getting pregnant will Never be close to the same as a Husband & Wife trying to get pregnant and can't. Who in the world thinks up these stupid lines??
