2x06 Episode 6

i cried so much during this episode. The love between Ysabeau and Philippe and knowing his fate. I cry.

Philippe is the most interesting character by far! He is Greek and very old, that much I gather, but I want to know moooore! Love the scene in the Artemis temple, he is magnificent. Those last secenes with him, so powerful! And I love that they were smart enough to direct his parting words straight into the camera. That man has SUCH presence!! As does Lindsay Duncan. They picked amazing actors for those roles! (...and that letter. Damn! ) Ps. When did Diana learn to dance?

So... it doesn't matter that Philippe had Diana tortured because... they have his approval now? What?

• So I don’t get why Matthew was so mad at his father? Is it because he understood later on that he used him as his own assassin? Or was it just guilt over being the one to end his life?
• I thought the Philippe conflict was resolved quickly but then again Philippe didn’t have any grudge against his son during that time. He was mainly concerned that Matthew has chosen a witch as a partner
