[7.6/10] I’m glad that they took an episode to address Finn’s trauma after what happened in “Three Buckets.” The notion that he can’t slay anything after those events, because he sees Fern’s face is an interesting way to dramatize his guilt. And the emotional turning point -- where he sees Fern’s face in the people he wants to save not just the people he has to kill -- is a nice one. Plus, I like him and Huntress Wizard together, so her as the person who helps him get through this is a nice touch.

In addition, the comic side was on point here. I love the idiocy of the banana guards, so having them figure out how to hold hands or blanche at the fact that they’re not wearing peels was delightful. In the same vein, Princess Bubblegum saying that death is no laughing matter and then slipping on a banana peel was great. And the design of the “Grumbo” and Jake talking about his aging body were nice points too.

All-in-all, a nice character-focused episode of the show.

Banana guards are like wholesome stormtroopers from Star Wars.
