And I thought where the last episode took us was already intriguing, but look what's happening here. Juicy.
Also really makes you wonder who steers the game. Seemingly, nobody at the beach, but it also just seems like whoever does, has full control over even what's going on at the beach. What could be more convenient now than to kill off most of that army that's been trying to find a way out of the game in one huge thing that targets only them?
I agree with how some actions don't really make sense anymore, but to be honest, there's always been some illogical ones in this show. I guess now that it's peaking, as with so many others, it just overloads into more craziness.
I find it interesting we get some sort of background story to the characters now, even if they don't necessarily make the hugest of senses. Like, if you got bullied as kid, you don't normally end up like the one who bullies everyone else. But then again, it's probably different if you get picked up by some gang members or yakuza in Tokyo with the purpose(?) to avenge yourself... or whatever. But still, I enjoyed the little views into their pasts. Especially "Hikaru's", that was beautiful and unusual.
Well, who do you think the witch is?
Following the "team's" logic, it shouldn't be anyone from the militia... Yet it being Aguni would make sense, as i guess a lot of us are suspecting him to be the Hatter's murderer. Plus, him being so passive during the hunt, just kind of overseeing it.
Then there's Chishiya, who's always been suspicious as fuck. I had suspected him as game master the first time they met him, then the suspicions were diverted (as his actions could well be justified by him being part of the beach), now I'm kind of suspecting him again. But as game master he wouldn't have to kill people on rooftops the way he did. (As a witch however, he might)
Somehow, we're all made believe the first scape goat and best friend of the murdered girl isn't it. Although it being 10 of hearts suggests a huge betrayal.
...
What about the murdered girl actually not being dead? Or it having been suicide or something? The way the show handles realism I'm pretty sure they allow someone to stab their own heart sufficiently with a knife. But... eh.
I guess I'll have to wait and see
a trans woman fighting against a big man in her swimsuit and WINNING over it was BADASS, bro. I ENJOYED EVERY MINUTE OF IT :star_struck::star_struck::star_struck: go girl :nail_care:
remember when i said i hate chishiya? well now, i was amazed :exploding_head::exploding_head::exploding_head: innovating a gun with fire to catch the witch was so smart, creative, and resourceful. he's clever clever huh. if only he wasn't a traitor, he'd be my favorite character in this series <//////3
i also like the woman with short hair (the one that used to be a forensic). she's also a badass :nail_care::nail_care::nail_care:
the women (kouina, forensic, & usagi) in this show are :sparkles: QUEENING :sparkles:
The action part was fun, but more and more of what people do really don't make any sense.
So the witch hunt turns into a giant killfest. I get that some of the militia guys are crazy af, but there are that many ready to follow that order ? Why ? Without even trying ? I mean, just ask people to group themselves like they were at the moment she was killed. They'll be each other alibis. Then investigate singles and maybe groups of two. Also if the witch is one of them, that means that it's a game of one versus hundreds ? Doesn't seem to fit what we've seen up till now, so I'm gonna bet the dead girl is also the witch.
Also, what happens next ? Even if you find the witch early, you've destroyed the beach. Who will work for you after that ? OK, it's the last missing card, but it's a lot more likely that it will unlock the figures and not end there. Who will work for you then ? Not even speaking of setting fire to the building, burning all the gas and generators, but ok, that guy was just plain crazy.
So clearly the goal is not to find the witch but to indulge in a killing frenzy. But once again, there might be 3-4 guys into it. And a lot more are just following orders ? Meh.
Character's background stories seem to have been rammed into this episode while that did not seem to be a defining part of the show until now. And they're not even interesting. I'm gonna bet it was handled much better in the original material.
The hatter and Aguni were friends before. OK. Good to know.
Kuina used to be a boy. Why not.
Niragi used to be bullied. Boohoo.
Sword guy was a regular loser. No interest. Though maybe that is a clue that the people ending in the game are people that actually wanted to leave the normal world ? Seems to fit most of them.
Most fun part is the fight between Kuina and the sword guy. But. First you're wondering how she can keep up with him like that. Turns out she was train in martial arts since very young. OK then. And then you see the sword guy's totally uninteresting background story. He's just a regular loser who doesn't like society. So the question becomes "how can he keep up with her ?". Where in this did he learn to fight like that, with a sword no less. He can fight with Kuina that is highly trained, we've seen earlier that he can kill one of these enhanced tigers in one move. THAT is the background story we want to know. Where did he learn that ? Unless games have been going on for much longer than we thought ? And still... even with time, how did he learn ?
Chishiya's small is cool too. He built himself a flamethrower, nice. Though I suppose it's easier than a taser.Too bad we don't see him more in games. However wtf throwing all the cards like that then hurling flames. Isn't that a little risky ? He also got a point, not only the witch, a game master might be part of the council. Though there's still the possibility that it is supernatural.
I just hope the guy burnt in the rooftop is really dead, such a pathetic character…
It's a fun massacre.
Whatever. It's hard to think.
Give me a break! This has just turned into a shoot everyone crazy clusterfuck.
Who doesn't love a good slaughterfest? :D A 10 hearts game is no easy task to endure, as chaos quickly started spreading on the Beach like a hungry tumour. I did appreciate, though, how the show managed to smoothly cram in between all the chaotic action some interesting background flashbacks for all the major players. I was not expecting that trans revelation (particularly considering it involved one of my favourite characters), this show surely is keen on its delightful twists!
Kinda disappointed this is a two part episode, but I guess it only shows how grandiose this game of hearts aspires to be, it's too big of a game changer (no pun intended) to fit into a mere episode. Also, we're all binge watching this, so no harm done there, heh? ;)
Already seriously hoping for a second season, but, first, I'm excited to see the conclusion of this blood soaked, crispy meat of a game!
Wow! A trans storyline... that's amazing!

Man these guys really never think anything through huh.. I'd say it's dumb to kill all ppl at the beach at all - not to mention it's mass murder and even in these circumstances horrible - but if you wan to do it, it's plain stupid to chase them all around this huge complex, you'll never get it done by 2 hours, let alone burn them all in the pyre, which is btw not even big emough for all of them.. Come up with some other plan dudes. And this one guy with the cap who beat the girl to get to know where Arisu is, WTF you don't pick up the gun from the guy you jus knocked out..??
Some editing was weird, but in the last episodes some of the score themes were nice. The fight scenes on the other hand not so. Weird cause I liked the close combat against the hunter in the second episode.
An doing detective work in all of this chaos is kinda funny, tho I don't know if there can be a conclusion, cause even if she finds useable finger prints, doesn't she have to collect and match them from alot of ppl by logic, is that all possible in that little time..?
Well, as this is a game of heart, wouldn't rule out the best friend being the witch. Or maybe she was (forced) into suicide..?
Overall this episode is a letdown for me.
Last thing, I always wondered why they all don't look up for the ppl who setup the games. Like someone has to bring all these phones and gears and stuff to the locations and do some work there..? They must also do alot of traveling and scouting around..
