Glad to see others share my general opinion. Felt a little disjointed but I’m loving the black and white part!

OK so the second act is being enjoyably batshit from the off.

Also, to the other commentors, kindly fuck off with your homophobia and idiotic "woke trash" dismissal - honestly don't see what was so 'woke' about this episode.

Besides, a decade in, you should know what you're getting with this show.

Probably should have been two separate episodes. I enjoyed the first half but the second half though curious, was mostly spent rolling my eyes at young adult bullshit and sexcessiveness (yes that's what I'm calling it)... anyway, looking forward to more Amelia Earhart and aliens.

Went downhill rather quickly. Woke trash

The second part of this episode remember why I hate teenagers.

Kaia Gerber (Cindy Crawford’s Mini-Me) cannot act. First half of the episode was good, second half was stupid.

The show just lost me again.

Started out interesting, and went downhill. Wherever they found that white brunette actress, they should send her back there. She is terrible

Cheapest flick written by the stupidest conspirologist in the room. My eyes and brain literally melting then I watch it.

Underwhelming opener for a “season”. Hardly felt like an AHS episode too.

I was enjoying the 1950s part so much, and then, classic Murphy, cuts it to insert the pretentious youngsters story.
Ok it was kind of interesting especially at the end & surely there will be a connection to the '50s story, but it was kind of abrupt to move from the glorious black & white and Neal Mc Donough.

Actually, I'm wondering how mr Murphy hadn't used Mc Donough up till now, he would make an excellent degenerate in previous seasons

I ADORED the 1950s bit; the black and white was working wonders, it felt claustrophobic and unsettling, the performances felt like real Drama television (McDonough was perfect). And then Murphy had to sabotage his own show with his recent obsessions of young annoying people speaking so overtly about their sex life at a fancy restaurant being as pretentious as ever. WHY? I feel as though Lange was the glue holding this show together and without her, the writers have this weird. obsessive tendency to pander to Scream Queens fans/stans, but do it with way more cringe-inducing moments. The potential packed in those first 15 minutes or so is what this show should be all about and it’s utterly disappointing that it’s not.

This is what happens if you ask someone just because that person is "the daughter of...". Please cast an actual actress and not Cindy Crawford daughter.

I'm not feeling it (yet). Part 1 of this season had a stronger premiere

Feels a bit like a comedy right now. Not super excited about this story yet. The teens, cringe...

This season has been the best since Roanoke, and after watching this episode it gets even better.

The reviews of the episode, very exaggerated... it's not all this bombshell, the black and white part was great. we already had 1984, Hotel and Cult the worst phases of the series
