I do not like the new plot lines added by the showrunners, but Bash and his arc is definitely more interesting than the whole gold-digger story, so I liked this episode better than the first one. Still, I'd rather the show kept to the source material more like in the first season. The young actress playing Anne is great and she steals every scene, I also like the portrayals of Matthew and Marilla and this is why I continue watching.
