Elijah needs more than a beating. I still can’t believe what a terrible person he is. It’s one thing of your mom wasn’t there enough when you were a child, but she only ever showed him love when she was there. Or why did he come back all smiles? Because he thought he owns her? I despise his person so much. What a terrible terrible person.

And I have really been fearing for Kakwet at this boarding school. my fears were about right.

And I suppose Elijah in the end got “what he deserved”.

But there’s hope.

The scenes with Mary's funeral are very moving, as well as Anne and Marilla finally understanding each other and making peace. A tiny minus for the anti-Catholic bias in the part with Ka'kwet's school. It is horrible what happened to the poor girl. Such things happened in some Catholic schools though it looks like a negative bias since Mary and Bash's pastor is presented as a sympathetic person, so the authors are not against religious people in general.
