Another enjoyable episode, seeing Ashi's unwavering drive really made me root for him in today's match, and I'm glad he overcame the overwhelming sense of hopelessness he felt while facing the J-Youth team. Also, seeing hoe much Ashi values his family and hope big apart they've played in his life, with Ashi wanting to pay them back, really was heartwarming.
Also man, Tachibana and Ohtomo are becoming a lot more likeable too, with them being the only other tryout players who weren't de-motivated by the J-Youth team, even after learning they were playing different positions. Tachibana particularly is someone who I am rooting for, with him having left behind his home team to make something of himself and no longer stay complacent.
The Akutsu dude was such a smug player, I'm glad the tryout players were able to score a point off of his team, and wipe that smug look off his face.
The ending of today's episode was bittersweet, with Ashi's mom, whose dedicated so much to making sure Ashi could live out his dreams of playing soccer, feeling like she's now losing her youngest son, with the news that he passed the tryouts.
