Another solid episode. More relationship drama with Lana and Archer is a little forced at this point, but I liked the pairings for this episode. Having Pam and Cheryl debate the pros and cons of Archer's romantic prowess worked well, and led to the kind of rapid fire banter omedy and ribald, jocular stuff from Pam that really works. Mallory and Cyril is consistently a good match up, with Cyril's meekness (though effectiveness for once!) pairing well with Mallory's acerbic wit.
The stuff with Veronica Deane is getting a little tiresome though. Archer's literary and historical references are still fun (I wonder if this is how Tenzig Norgay feels all the time!) and the fact that it devolves into Lana kicking his butt is kind of amusing, but the whole thing turning on a murder mystery is a bit of a cliche without much of the show's usual twist. Funny enough, but worth seeing where it goes.
