Arrow

Season 8

Finally the show comes to an end and the ending was really proper. This is how you kill of a character, by giving him a new life/role. Enjoyed the show as much as I always do. No one else can be Oliver Queen other than Stephen Amell. 8/10

Note: Episode 1-8 is for Arrow storyline. Episode 9 I assume was the pilot for "Green Arrow & The Canaries" (It was good, not sure why it was cancelled. Hope they make a u-turn.). Episode 10 was a send of episode for the show.

It feels like a very rushed ending to something that was initially so well executed, it's disappointing...

I am not sure you should even bother watching this season. Just watch the last episode even though it is not very good either.

I mostly enjoyed this season. I loved the feel of the first episodes leading up to Crisis as you get Oliver preparing to face his own death and the return of a lot of previous characters and settings. Oliver getting to meet his adult kids and connect with them was also a great surprise and something I didn't expect. I thought there were some pretty cool things that happened with Oliver's character during Crisis but also some things I didn't like. Overall a little disappointed with how his death went down but I still mostly felt satisfied. I also didn't love everything they did after Oliver's death but generally thought the series finale in episode 10 was a very tasteful and emotional sendoff for the character and the show. I think the fact that this character death hit me so hard even when I obviously knew it was coming is a testament to how great Stephen Amell was. Even though this show had its ups and downs, I will certainly miss it and this character.
