EREN JAEGER!!!! (We also got a glimpse of him in Episode 2 but of course it totally went over my head at the time)

Ever since they mentioned the plan to go back to Paradis island in the previous episodes, I kept thinking what will they find there? I mean, it is not like Eren and the rest are just idly waiting around… So it seems the tables have turned and this time our heroes’ infiltrated the warriors’ side.

(There was also a scene at the end of the 1st episode, where we see a shot of a guy holding a newspaper. It is more than obvious now that he is another member of the scouts as well.)

The storytelling is great, we get to relive the events from a different perspective and I can only imagine this will make things harder for the viewers when the clash happens given that now we have information from both sides and how they came to be.

Would have been perfect, if it wasn't for breakneck pacing. Bertholdt's dream and Annie's meeting suffered the most.
I don't understand why they skipped Annie's part in taking the Wall... Different viewpoint should have brought additional info on the table. I mean it's not important, they still show Colossal Titan exhausted and on it knees nice juxtaposition to the iconic moment and also explanation for weird footprints from season 1 and Dina walking by thanks Annie It just odd and felt more impactful in the manga.
If anyone interested in the panels with Annie's part in the plan:

Also kinda surprised that they didn't emphasized on trio first and changed focus to warriors here:

But oh well. At least Mappa didn't f**ed up anything important, yet. Unlike the whole Uprising Arc... so I'm happy as hell. Great episode.

We see a scene right after Bertholdt kicked the wall where the smiling titan (Dina) came in and ignored Bert, which any other titan would try and eat him. As we’ve seen some titans hold on to some of their humanity, such as the one in Ilse’s notebook OVA, Dina probably stuck to her plan of coming back to Grisha “in whatever form I take.”.
Edit: well... now we know why that happened
We now see where Bert’s story came from that he told Eren in one of the first few eps of season 1 which is cool.
Loved the end where Eren’s identity is revealed, he’s pulling a Reiner lol.

Another very boring chapter. And now they sum up three... Also, I dislike the new style of drawing. Eren. Reiner, Bertholt, Annie didn't even look like themselves.
