Season 2 started off laying on a bit of anxiety, since Romesh's character Jonathan is still every bit as avoidant as he was in the first season, and all the problems that continues to cause him in his life. However this season continues on the promise of being a heartwarming show despite his flaws, and I found myself more and more enjoying the series as it went on.
Having unexpectedly binge-watched the whole season today (thanks BBC iPlayer) I was so ready for the finale episode. I came here to write particularly because of the climactic scene, an almost dream-like conversation with the lighting and bokeh. Equal parts comedic timing and dramatic resolution it wrapped up in a few minutes what made this season so enjoyable for me.
The cast for season 2 are once again on top form, both returning and new characters. In particular Jessica Knappett's character Claire is flawless as Jonathan's foil, and not wanting to pick favourites from the rest I'll just say it was a nice treat in the finale to see a surprise appearance from a british comedian of youtube fame having another TV acting role.
Would recommend if you're a person who can connect with this character at all, and I hope we have the pleasure of another season - if it was possible after the ending of the first then it's possible after this too. I'm sure these lovable characters have many more good natured (if slightly self-sabotaged) adventures left in them.
