What a first episode! I loved that!
I hope the show didn’t expect me to be rooting for Flint, because I’m most definitely not. Not only does he appear to be positively deranged, he’s also entirely unworthy of being the ship’s Captain. He doesn’t care about the crew at all; he lies to them and treats them like none of them matter. He just uses them like every single one of them is completely disposable to him, and that’s not exactly inspiring for a crew. I mean, I sure know I wouldn’t want him to be my Captain either, so I’m not sure why the show wanted me to think he somehow deserved to be.
