Black Sails: Season 4

4x10 XXXVIII

They paint the world full of shadows... and then tell their children to stay close to the light. Their light. Their reasons, their judgments. Because in the darkness, there be dragons. But it isn't true. We can prove that it isn't true. In the dark, there is discovery, there is possibility, there is freedom in the dark once someone has illuminated it. And who has been so close to doing it as we are right now?

With all the respect I have for this TV show I must admit I am sadly disappointed with this final...

Oh man! Where do I even begin! Words cannot even explain what I'm feeling right now regarding this final episode. I will miss this show so much. like woaah, I had to walk this one off, I really did go out for a walk in the neighbourhood ! I may not be pleased about some aspects in this episode like the inclusion of Mary Read if there is no fifth season coming. sighs
However, this episode is nonetheless great.
I very much hope to see a spin off of "Treasure Island". I hope they push for it to make it happen.

I've missed Charles Vane since the moment that they killed him off way back when. But never more so than I missed him while watching the resolution of this anticlimactic and character-wrecking and ultimately wimpy finale that also managed to find time to write off the war for Nassau that had been brewing all season long -- and even longer. This show was way too good for way too long for it to go out like this.

What a masterpiece! Really, I don't know how this ending could be any better. The ending of the serie show us what everyone knows about pirates: searching for treasure, the famous black flag with a skull and two crossed swords, the begining of bahamas like we know it nowadays.

I wish every tv series knew how to make a final like this one (SPN and TWD, I'm look at you! lol)

A perfect series finale to a truly incredible series.

Decent series finale, but a bit rushed. They really pulled Flint's ending out of their "behinds" tough.

My heart has broken for Flint and Billy.
Although they were both on opposite sides, they were each equally destroyed by Silver’s manipulations and betrayals. Both these men just wanted to fight for what they thought was right; meanwhile, Silver used them to fight for what would be right for HIM, no matter who or what he destroyed.

P.S. I love that Max and Jack came out on top in the end! It just feels right

Great show with 'mostly' believable storyline. (yes i have problems accepting choice of main hero).

This is a last episode from show writers that knew it would be the last episode. Wrapping up loose ends, giving all the characters a nice ending ( well, except Billie, but fuck him anyways... Or maybe he likes living alone on an island ? ), and a little "and they lived happily forever after". Flint's ending in particular made me very happy, although it was thoroughly hinted at in past episodes. And how Rackham dealt with Rogers, oh my... Just unbelievably satisfying. This season was maybe not the best of the four, but I think it's the best last season anyone could have made. And I still have PTSD-esque memories of the last season of Chuck (BY THE WAY, if you watch Chuck, STOP AT THE END OF THE EPISODE WHERE THEY ENGRAVE THEIR NAMES IN THE HOUSE), so yeah this is amazing.
