• As a citizen of Earth, I feel that humans should strive for equal rights no matter what race, gender, sex, sexuality, class, etc. I disagree with human rights violations and I like seeing examples of human rights violations in media whether it's fiction or not, because sometimes people in power abuse that power.

• American as in "People of the Americas" not just people of the USA. Includes First Nations, Inuits, other Native Americans/Amerindians (such as Cherokees, Mayans, and Quechua), and Indigenous Caribbean people.

• Excludes "majority" Latinos, who have their own list, and Rapa Nui, who are Polynesian. Not sure where I'd stick people like Trinidadians, honestly.
