Blake's 7 1978

Made on a miniscule budget, with wooden sets and over the top acting earned this a cult following from day one.
The stories are probably it's saving grace.
The special effects were risible when it first came out, now they're seen as part of its charm.
I do like the characters portrayed by Paul Darrow, Michael Keating, Peter Tuddenham and especially Jacqueline Pearce.

I'm old enough to have watched Blakes 7 in its original run back in the 80s. I recently rewatched it. the things that struck me were just ho wcheqap and nasty th effects were, but also how that didn't really matter because the stories were compelling and some of the performances - and I really mean Avon and Servalan here - made you want to know how things were going to play out, and between those two who would get the upper hand from episode to episode
