[7.2/10] Solid episode. Linda getting into a snit with Cynthia over decorating a trashcan vs. attracting a chain restaurant is the kind of small town minutia I enjoy. Linda’s devotion to making a “dumb thing” into a “fun thing” is admirable. And the kids trying to help her stop an anti-trash can decorating ordinance as a Mother’s Day gift is a solid angle for them.

There just wasn’t the font of laughs from the episode there normally is from Bob’s Burgers. There’s also some smoke and mirrors when it comes to Louise using the promise of moving boxes to get people to the city council meeting who...might vote against the incumbents? The math didn’t really add up there, but it’s a nice try.

The B-story, with Bob admiring a post about a basement-grown cucumber on Nextdoor, was perfectly fine. Bob getting excited about dorky stuff is always a good vein to tap, but the storyline got more smiles than chuckles.

Overall, a perfectly fun, perfectly sweet Bob’s Burgers episode that doesn’t do much more than that.
