Eh, this was fine. Mr. Peanutbutter's not my favorite character, so his story didn't do much for me. Plus the love triangle thing was pretty predictable and the episode didn't bring anything new or interesting to the table on that front. The Hollywoo jokes were fun, but otherwise this could have been the setup for a standard-issue romantic comedy.

The Todd's prison prom storyline, however, was as enjoyable as it was ridiculous. I don't know if it's the writers or Aaron Paul or what, but he's consistently the most entertaining character on the show, and his storylines, more than anyone's tend to make me laugh the most consistently.

my absolute favorite show
delightful cocktail of snarky humor and keen insights about the dark side of the human psyche

The Beyoncé scene in this episode is so absurdly silly, down to the ridiculously inaccurate impression of her, that it kills me every time and has strangely become one of my favourite jokes of the show.

I would have thought the Bojack + DIane plot would take longer to get introduced. The Todd prison story is cool, one of the most interesting/fun subplot so far.

"BLACK HAWK DOWN! BLACK HAWK DOWN!"

Todd's prison subplot is hilarious. It really relieves the tension of BoJack, Mr Peanutbutter and Diane's relationship. Honestly, I think this is one of the better episodes so far, and it may be my favourite out of the first six. That voicemail BoJack left Diane. OOF.

And to see Diane accept Mr Peanutbutter's proposal seemed so hollow. Although she said yes, she seemed so nervous and conflicted.

I can buy that Princess Carolyn is an agent with seeing how she handles her situations (finding financial opportunities) and dealing with clients other than BoJack (also not knowing everything that's going on with him). She was funnier than usual in this episode.

Also, it would've been easier to buy Mr Peanutbutter and Diane's relationship and their history if we saw more of it. If they could show how they met or their times together, it would be more understandable (I'm going to predict now that they cover this in a later episode). But as it stands, it's just too quick. I'm not buying it.

IT'S GOOD.
