Despite some clunky moments typical of pilots, where they're still finding their footing, it's amazing how much this already nails what made the initial years of the show so striking, with its blend of quippy shenanigans and heartbreaking emotion, with most episodes centered on a dismissive kid wondering why a lesson matters, until a way is found to make him realize how it applies to his life and the people around him.

Hmm… I’ve seen clips of this show here and there, but never watched a full episode, and it’s… not at all what I was expecting. I thought Cory would be more sweet and geeky, and not at all like a snarky brat That might just be cus he’s really young here, but still, not what I was expecting.
Also, I’m sorry, but they really gotta cool it with the laugh track. I know it’s what they used to do with old shows, but it’s so loud and so much here:grimacing:
All in all, I’m not the biggest fan yet, but that might change along the way! I’m sure the pilot isn’t representative of the whole rest of the show, especially since they’ll grow older each season (which would ultimately change the plot and characters a lot)
