Looks like Disney+ has a couple more episodes out of order as I ended up watching this before "An Affair to Forget". Which doesn't matter much in episodic TV, but does throw off my readiness for this week's Pod Meets World episode.
"Easy Street" is marvelous, setting up a delightful farce about working for the mob that deftly shifts into drama about Shawn's choices and Corey's loyalty. Buddy Hackett and Soupy Sales are fantastic at both the deadpan humor and simmering menace.
The subplot with Eric and Loni is amusing if silly. Jennifer Campbell is a genuine talent who unfortunately never took off in the industry and she feels a little wasted here, but I like how Loni takes charge of the situation.
The more we see Mr Turner this season, the more you can feel how much he's being wasted as his character has been fully regressed to where he started. He absolutely could have been more involved in Shawn's story, but that relationship between them has been so painfully discarded by this point.
