A bit dark and manipulative Merlin that does not seem to care about other people's feelings is an interesting character and a big change in the portrayal of this protagonist from the caring and loyal Merlin of the BBC series. Some reviews say that Morgana is the most valuable feature of the show and it seems to be true. She definitely lives up to the reputation of the plotting and treacherous lady, though so far no magic has been shown by either her or Merlin. The idea of Camelot as a ruined castle which has to be rebuilt in order to establish its greatness seems original. Some parts of the story were rather boring and there are a couple of completely unnecessary sex scenes. The costumes look impressive though, they are probably historically inaccurate but an eye-candy.
