I've been binging the heck out of this show. While it is definitely dated and the comedy is certainly not cutting edge, the performances of Joe E. Ross ("Ooo. Ooo." - "Do you mind? Do. You. Mind.") and Fred Gwynne (Herman Munster) carry the show along. However it is the long suffering captain Paul Reed that I believe generated the most laughs for me. It could have been a very one note performance, but he does the best with it.
